I came across an interesting resource. I haven't fully explored the website, but I've seen a couple of the things. It's called GoNoodle. It is a brain break website for classrooms. You have to register, but it is free. I have watched a couple of the dance/aerobic type brain breaks. My students have really liked using the few that I've used.

Jenn,
ReplyDeleteMy students LOVE GoNoodle. We have so much fun with Run With Us. Our two favorite events are the 100 meter sprint and the 400 meter hurdles. I do worry about my students jumping into my Active Board though...I have to remind them to run in place. We also like Boogie Down, and Zumba to get our wiggles out. To the Maximo (Yoga) is hilarious...his voice and some of his comments are very funny, so the kids love Maximo too. I like to do a quick "Airtime" to bring our energy level down when I think we are over excited and we need to calm ourselves. There are other options too, however, those options are only available for paying customers. I would like to have "Body Spell" to help my students learn Sight Words. I cannot say enough about this site. I love it, and the kids love it! This site was definitely a great addition to my brain breaks repertoire.
I will have to share that at our next Staff meeting. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSo neato! Thank you for posting. I will also be sharing this site with my staff. Jammin' Minutes on You Tube are also great energizers and brain break tools:)
